Another Sneak Preview of My Upcoming Tangerine Tango Tour

Painting is still underway at my house for my upcoming Tangerine Tango tour. It’s been a lot of work–and a lot of fun. I’m still assembling items in a variety of shades of tangerine to splash around my house. Here’s another sneak preview. This outdoor dinnerware was too colorful to resist:

As was this outdoor rug with a border of tangerine and pink poppies:

Come On, Everyone, Let’s Do the Tangerine Tango!

I’ve introduced you to Tangerine Tango, Pantone’s 2012 color of the year, I’ve highlighted previous colors of the year, and I’ve shown you how you can replicate this color at your favorite paint store. Now, let’s get down to some serious business. Seriously fun, that is. I’ve begun to assemble some items that I plan to feature in various rooms of my house as I dance around with this color and splash it from room to room. Here’s a sneak preview of some of the items that I’ll be featuring on my Tangerine Tango tour. Over the coming weeks I’ll provide you with photos of the completed rooms as well as purchasing information. I’m going to be quite busy; and I’ve definitely got some painting to do!

Introducing Tangerine Tango–Pantone’s 2012 Color of the Year

Still no sign of those fun Pantone coffee mugs that I posted about last week, but Mother’s Day is several days away, so there’s still time for my loved ones to bestow those beauties on me (hinting LOUDER). And speaking of Pantone colors, did you know that Pantone’s 2012 color of the year is Tangerine Tango?

Over the past several years, orange has grown in popularity, so I thought it might be fun to embrace this bold color in a series of posts. It also might be fun to embrace it in my own home. You know, splash a little orange here and there to spruce up the place. Adding color to your home is an inexpensive and fun way to brighten up your interior spaces. So as I explore this color, think about ways to use Tangerine Tango in your own homes. You can use this high-impact color on pillows, bedspreads, and accessories to liven up any room or paint a piece of furniture or a wall to add a dramatic burst of color. The possibilities are endless. And I’ll show you a few ideas that I have up my sleeve as I Tangerine Tango around my own home. So, come on, everyone, let’s tango!
