Remember how exciting it was when you got your hands on your first box of 64 count Crayola crayons–the one with the sharpener in the back? The possibilities were endless. Well I’m just as excited about my new set of 150 Prismacolor Premier colored pencils. I’ve been wanting this set forever but at $250.00, the cost was exorbitant. You can purchase this set online at http://www.dickblick.com for $133.00. That’s nearly half the normal price, so I pounced on it. I see lots of colorful projects in my future.
Look at all the beautiful colors–they’re three layers deep. Wouldn’t it be fun if there was a sharpener in the back? I girl can dream, can’t she?

I like to think of each color as its own world. Between places like dickblick and jerry’s artarama (who often has coupons and sales on top of their already lower than retail prices) I almost never go to actual art stores anymore. Sometimes you can find something in a store cheaper than you can online, but not often and usually the difference is pretty big. 🙂
I love Prismacolor colored pencils. They are so easy to blend.
Me, too, Dakino. I used Prismacolors to create my black-capped chickadees painting–which I still need to finish.
I love to see the tools that artists use 🙂
Thanks for sharing. And nice pictures!
Thanks, Nuno. Even the box is beautiful. Can’t wait to use them!
Thinking about the box of 64 crayons with the sharpener makes me smile.
