Mushroom Fairy in Watercolor

on January 25, 2013

Mushroom Fairy2

This little mushroom fairy proved to be more time consuming than I’d anticipated, but I’m pleased with the results. I’ve been working on this painting since last weekend and was beginning to think that I wouldn’t complete it before the week was done. This painting is based on a tutorial in Linda Ravenscroft’s book, “How to Draw and Paint Fairies.” You can purchase the book at Amazon.com.

Here’s a close up view of her face.

She’s lovely! I took a peek at the book on Amazon and it looks interesting. From there I went to Youtube and found so many tutorials on how to draw figures as well. I’m trying my hand on that once in a while!
